How a florist's notebook became a full curriculum
Gulskav started in 2020 when Oksana Petrenko, a working florist with over a decade of practice, noticed a gap: students learning floral design were picking up hand skills without ever engaging with the underlying theory — why certain colour combinations work, how botanical shapes carry visual weight, what makes a composition feel balanced versus busy.
She began recording short theory segments for a handful of local students who couldn't attend in-person sessions. Those recordings turned into modules. The modules grew into a structured program. By the end of the first year, students from outside Mykolaiv were enrolling.
The platform has stayed deliberately focused. Floral art theory is the subject — not general design, not wedding planning, not business advice. Students who come here want to understand the discipline at its root level, and that is what the courses address.

Theory before technique
Every practical skill in floral design has a theoretical explanation behind it. Courses address the explanation first so technique carries meaning when it is introduced.
No fixed attendance windows
Materials are available on demand. Students in Mykolaiv or three cities away access the same lessons without coordinating around a live schedule.
Content that earns revision
When better explanations emerge from student feedback, modules are revised. No lesson sits unchanged for years just because it existed before.
